I’ve spent more than 40 years representing injured victims in my adopted hometown of Columbus, Ohio, and sometimes I stop and think about the past, the present, and the future of my practice.  Why do I do what I do?

I was inspired to become a personal injury lawyer when I was a young boy, around 10 or 11 years old. My maternal grandmother, Veronica Vulich, took me to the majestic Tower City Center in downtown Cleveland. As we walked into the concourse, she took my hand and pointed up to the multi-storied ceiling, then proudly told me that my grandfather helped build this great building.

“Who lives here?” I asked. “No one”, she responded. “Lawyers have offices here. Someday you will have an office here too. There will be people who really need your help.” My grandfather, Joseph Vulich, an immigrant construction worker from Croatia, never got to see the finished building. He died when the scaffolding collapsed during construction.

My grandmother, who could not read or write a word of English, was left with three small children. Back in that era the only compensation was your last paycheck. My grandmother was a proud woman who cleaned offices at night and took in laundry during the day to support her children and herself.

I have aspired over the last four decades to make a difference for many families who have lost someone to a tragedy, or suffered a catastrophic injury. I am proud to say that I have helped families who now receive a fair resolution as opposed to no compensation at all.

Over the last 30 years, some things have remained the same and some have changed. The one thing that has remained constant is simply this: it is never easy talking to a family after they have suffered a horrific loss. Their world has been turned upside down and everything good has been shaken out. I feel their pain every time. What has changed is that insurance companies have never been more difficult, if not impossible, to deal with. That’s where I put my experience to work. I know how to deal with stubborn insurance companies and I know how I’ll Make Them Pay!® so that the victims can put the pieces of their lives back together.

During my career, I have served as an assistant police prosecutor, and an attorney for the Cleveland Police Patrolman’s Union, but nothing has come close to giving me the satisfaction of being a plaintiff personal injury lawyer. I feel honored and privileged to be able to continue the good fight, because what resonates in my mind is the memory of my grandmother, Veronica Vulich, and her prophecy that there will be people who really need my help. I look forward with excitement and anticipation to continue my calling over the next 30 years.

If you or a loved one has been the victim of work-related injuries or unsafe medical practices, I can help you. If you were in a car accident or truck accident, or if you lost a family member to a wrongful death or surgical malpractice, I will fight on your behalf.

Call me today at 877.614.9524 and we’ll discuss your case. As a medical malpractice attorney and personal injury lawyer in Ohio, I have the resources and experience to hold the companies or people accountable. I will fight and I’ll Make Them Pay!® so that your family can receive the necessary care and compensation you need to live a better life.
